Angry About to throw my wii out the bloody window.

I have a older model wii version 3.1U with the homebrew channel recently downgraded successfully from 4.1U, and a whole bunch of confusing ios' & cios' and a bunch of other crap that I completely lost track of.

I just used the shine shop updater for the shopping channel, but that's not my problem. I was going to play R.E. Darkside chronicles; the disc had a system update so I updated. When the screen showed the system update was complete, I got a black screen, no wiimote functionality and nothing I do is working.

I can't boot into into recovery mode, I've tried all the bootmii stuff to no avail. I also tried to do a NAND backup beore all this happened, but the system wouldn't let me. Is my wii salvageable? I reeeeeeeeeealy don't want to have to spend money to get another one or get this one fixed.

Do you have bootmii installed or not? Because I find it strane that you were able to downgrade to 3.1.

Anyway, if bootmii is not installed ans you cannot go into the recovery menu, then you can only try to use priiloader (hold reset when booting), but that probably won't work.
Awesome sig picture does not work

I tried everything and nothing is working. As for bootmii, I don't think it's installed as boot2.

If you have a nand backup, it can be reprogrammed with a nand programmer.

    Let me get this straight.
I have a older model wii version 3.1U with the homebrew channel recently downgraded successfully from 4.1U
the disc had a system update so I updated
You were on 4.1 which is preferred, then downgraded which is never recommended, just to proceed with a disk update which is also never recommended.

A little more reading from THIS forum would have done you some good.

Although, the more reading the newbies do, the less work badad84 gets from bricked wiis, lol

If you have a NAND back-up I recommend sending it to Bad_Ad84. He can fix it for a decent price.
If you think that is too much trouble or do not want to spend any money on it, then you can sell it on e-bay as a bricked wii. Some people buy bricked wii's for spare parts. Or you can disassemble it and sell the parts individually.
