Working fine last night - now black screen-FIXED!

    Hi all,

Last night I installed WiiFlow and backed up about a dozen games to my USB HDD. I turned the system off for the night and today I wanted to load the rest of my games and the Wii won't boot. All I get is a black screen.

Does that mean it's bricked or do I have to mod it again?

    It is very strange!

THanks again for the exceptional help I've received here!

Try without your USB HDD connected to the Wii. Do your Wii start up now?
Do you have PriiLoader 0.4 rev78 installed? try rev88.

I did have priiloader installed (don't know which version or how to change it) but it won't load either.

I did try to use bootmii, and I can get into that, however when I start to load my nand, it tells me that there is no valid .txt file and it hangs on the first ios load.

The wii will not currently boot with anything other than bootmii, and that doesn't work. I've tried with the USB HDD connected and disconnected

    What else can I try?

    Thanks

Priiloader loads in the background. If you want to access priiloader start your Wii and push Reset button. At the bottom you can see your priiloader version.
"load my nand"? do you try to restore a backup?

From BootMii, can you start HBC? or access your SD card?

I cannot load PriiLoader - all I get is a blue screen from the TV. I cannot access HBC, but I can access the SD card.

I did try to load my saved Nand.

BootMii did the simulation and saud "BootMii found in boot 2 OK to proceed" and it continued with the simulation. There were a few unprocessed blocks during the simulation.

    It then said "Simulation Successful"

Then I pressed the Start button and the RestoreMii began to run. One message that came on the screen was

"Will erase 255872 pages Will write 245896 pages" I don't know if the difference in the numbers is significant or not

The RestoreMii completed and I rebooted the wii and all I get on my screen is "no signal" and the wii is on, but nothing is running.

So then I tried to use the NAND updater tutorial from here. I loaded the .elf file from my SD card. I got a screen saying "The current serial number is 100.... Press A to use it" I pressed A

Then I followed the onscreen instructions and it said "installing /wad/IOS17-~1.WAD fsize: 1617920"

And that is where it is now. How long should this take?

    THanks again!!

One more thing: When it was working last night, I was using the USBLoader GX for a while and I changed some of the custom paths for my images, etc. One of the paths I changed was the WAD folder. It was SD:/WAD and I changed it to USB:/WAD. When I run the bootmii, should I have the USB plugged in or not?

Better to move this thread to "BRICKED Wii Issues ONLY".
You will get better help there.

I think you moved on too fast...

Sorry, I'm confused. I thought as long as I had the NAND backup and bootmii installed that it could be fixed. Are you saying that this is not the case. What did I do that would cause this?

When I run bootmii now it says "NAND matched SD - nothing to do" I though that would mean everything is OK. Could I have the wrong IOS loaded??

    Thanks

I can power up the wii with the remote. Would that not indicate the bluetooth is OK?

I've been reading and playing with this, and when I put the hackmii folders on my SD card. the wii will boot up to the screen that says

    "cBoot DOL Loader v16
    IOS Version 36 v16 0x00240010
    IOS Succeddfully loaded"

    Then it hangs.

Can this be helpful? I know I have bootmii loaded as boot2, I've tried to restore my backup NAND and that still will not allow the wii to boot, I cannot access priiloader...

Can this be saved at all??

    Thanks so much!

Remove the bootmii folder from your SD card. It isn't needed for normal use of your Wii.
