    Thanks Krafter,

Unfortunately removing the bootmii folder from the SD card still will not allow the wii to boot.

All I still get is a blank screen.

What system menu do you have? See if you can load this...

Backup and format your SD card. Extract 4.3_MMM_TBR_Pack.rar to SD:\

Boot the Wii, see if MMM Loads.
    Damn I suck!!!!

So it just hangs at Dol loader? I am not sure what your issue is, I was going to have you reinstall the system menu but that won't work if you can't get to MMM. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

    Thanks for trying.

I may have to buy one from the pawn shop - the owner said it is giving disc read errors, so if I can swap drives, maybe I can get this thing working again.

However, I'm fairly upset that bootmii didn't solve the problem. I thought it was almost foolproof. Oh well, live and learn! LOL

    Thanks again

wifi or nand backup is messed up.

another sd card (the nintendo branded sandisks work well) and use the nand formatter again.

if that doesnt work, it has to be wifi or bluetooth thats bad (and you said remote turns it on, so that leaves wifi).

you could also try disconnecting the dvd drive as that can cause issues if faulty/not connected correctly.

but the fact you can get into bootmii means this wii is repairable

Well it's good to know it is repairable.

So if it is wifi related how do I disable that? And should I run a new Nand formatter or use the NAND backu I already have

    I really appreciate the help!

If it is a bad WiFi it has to be replaced. There is no way to disable it. Same goes for a BT module.

I believe that Bad_Ad84 is talking about this when he says NAND formatter.

I used the guide that Krafter linked to in his last post (that is the one I used when my original wii wouldn't load the settings).

Anyway, everything goes alright until it begins to install the first wad (IOS17). It seems to hang there. It has been on that step for the last 15 minutes or so. I don't remember it taking that long last time.

I'm thinking it's dead. My son is going to kill me! LOL

Just a thought - since I can load the bootmii application and can access the SD card from there, would it be possible to unbrick the wii from there? Obviously in my case, restoring the wii with my NAND backup is not possible. I know priiloader was installed, but all of my files are now on the USB drive which the wii will not access. Right now, other than bootmii, all DOL files hang at startup, but if I could force load them from the SD card through bootmii, maybe I can do something.

    What do you think? Impossible?

I would try to format your sd card with sdfv2003.exe and/or try another sd card.
