Thumbs up Stuck in Freedom 0.3beta!

This sounds rediculous but I installed the Freedom thinking it was just a game. If I had known it would replace my 4.2u system menu I never would have downloaded it let alone install it. The wad importer does not work correctly. The files will show up when selecting Manager->Channels Import; but upon selection of the system menu wad for my previous menu(4.2u) downloaded from the NUS Downloader as told by the apps author to uninstall freedom-> the system freezes. No I was not smart enough to save a boot mii backup/recovery file because I was told by wiibrew.org that this was pointless to make one while running from bootmii/IOS and not bootmi/boot2. So yeah...I'm running bootmii/IOS. I just want the system menu back. And if that isn't as hard as I'm making it out to be... can I replace it with a certain system menu 4.1u since it is preferred? or will this just potentially impair my wii further? Oh, and I cannot open homebrew like most people claim to be able to do with this. And I did have the new 0.8 homebrew app installed prior to this nightmare. I am a noob but am quick to learn, so explain thoroughly and step by step and I probably won't have to ask many questions unless I really screwed myself here. Please help me!!

Allright, at the moment, I am making a NAND back-up and will install Freedom after that. After that, I will try to figure out a way for you to remove it. Until then, please wait and don't try things on your own. You could make it worse if you do.

EDIT: I have been unable to install freedom, for some strange reason. Maybe someone else is able to help you.

freedom is a system menu replacement. In other words, it replaces the system menu.

@thread starter: could you please give me a link to download the version of freedom you installed? I managed to install an earlier version, but that wasn't really helpfull.

Moved to the Bricked section of the site, as potentially more relevant.

I have never used this, but load this dol some how- HBC-Forwarder.zip it should load the HBC. Once you get that to load, extract MMM_CB2.zip to a formated sd:\card
    Extract (4.1u)-System Menu-NUS-v449.zip to sd:\wad
    Extract cIOS60-v6174.zip to sd:\wad
    Extract priiloader 0.4 to sd:\apps
    Download hacks.ini to sd:\

    Run the HBC-forwarder, HBC loads
Press [HOME] on the wiimote, load bootmii
    MMM should load via cboot2
    Select wadmanager
Press 1, install all wads - 3 wads will install
Press 2, load the App Manager
    Launch Priiloader
Read the warning, Hold B, Press +/- while holding B -this will install priiloader
Turn off the wii, Hold reset, power on the wii while holding reset, keep holding reset- priiloader loads
Click system menu hacks - enable block disk and block online updates.
    Ipsa scientia potestas est.

Mauifrog you are friggan' awesome! I apolagize but admit to being skeptable about this approach but it worked and took me much less time than it took to set up my account to ask a question let along the massive research I did before I asked/ gave in to getting professional help! My Wii is up and running on 4.1U and I will never install another wad/app unless I know everything about it! Again, you saved me $199 and an ulcer/probable beatings from my wife! Sorry it took so long to get back, my wife and I just had our first child on (9/23/2010 @ 0603)! Thanks!
