Question (Help) Wii freezes upon going into settings

Alright, So my dad made a change to the wi-fi in my house to connect another computer to our network. He told me that "I broke the wii" because it couldn't connect to the wireless. Thinking it would be easy to fix I just went into the "Wii settings" tab. However, when I selected it the wii froze in a black screen and I needed to force shut it off...

Anyone else know whats going on or how to fix it?

@OP - Follow the guide. Do not do what this person has said to do.
