Try this version of Syscheck (Or Load DOP-Mii and choose "Scan the Wii's Internals").

If no luck go ahead and try to Load DOP-Mii and install IOS36 with fakesign.
    Damn I suck!!!!

id just reinstall bootmii.. you can run the installer from HBC.. download it, put into apps\hackmii

rename file to boot.elf or boot.dol depending on what it was originally

once installed, then you can restore nand.

you can still restore nand from bootmii IOS

and if he can run HBC via priiloader, his system ios is fine.

If the system IOS was stubbed then Priiloader would not work. Do not attempt to restore your nand if installed as IOS (this would be a last resort). Try the instuctions provided, if no luck there are other things you can try. A syscheck would help (try running other versions and the dop-mii check).

Sounds like corrupt ios's to me.

I had a similar issue awhile ago: http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...any-games.html

Reinstalling every IOS made most stuff work, but it still wasnt 100%, had to restore the nand in the end.

If so, he should be able to run Dop-Mii and run and IOS scan, if an IOS is corrupt it will stop scanning and freeze on the IOS before the corrupt IOS.

(would a corrupt IOS prevent him from using the system menu? I guess if the IOS that was corrupt is the System menu IOS).

Load DOP-Mii and delete IOS4 (ONLY IOS4) And try again.

(In DOP-Mii choose IOS36 or IOS236/249/250, Press A, Choose IOS, BC, MIOS,. Choose IOS4 -- Press " - " to delete. Be sure you are deleting IOS4 Only)
