Another Brick Problem (Help? ;P)

Greetings. I've been looking everywhere on how to fix my brick issue and havent found anything that could help me at all so sorry if this has been resolved before.

Thing is i've been leaving Wiiconnect24 on and the wii started to overheat (no fan turned on). I noticed sometimes I get to the wii menu then says files are corrupted, but after the wii cools down it works perfectly. A couple days ago the Wii was really hot then I noticed the brick. Turns on, Wii disc light flashes twice and nothing, black screen, but when i boot with SD card Bootmii appears. Now I don't have a NAND backup since the card was too small. I try to open homebrew channel but black screen and bootmii wont allow me to open apps from SD.

So, any tips on unbricking the wii or atleast open homebrew channel or something to copy all my save files to an SD card? I rather loose the wii than the saved files. Thanks in advance!

The part about the corrupt message throws me off a bit. There has always been a problem opening Homebrew channel with bootmii so that's normal. As far as you not being able to load apps from bootmii makes no sense. I wonder if you're trying to open the apps the correct way for bootmii as you don't access them from the apps folder like you do with Homebrew.

If my assumptions are correct, I think you may have either a bluetooth issue or wi-fi issue. Can you power up with the wiimote?

I can power up the wii using the wiimote. I do find it weird too since I haven't done anything wrong (cept not backing up the nand). It just happens cause of the overheat. Currently trying this I just found in this post see how it goes.

If you're positive it happens because of the overheat then installing an IOS or system menu isn't going to help as it would be hardware related not software related. The fact that bootmii loads fine leads me to believe the problem has nothing to do with overheating. You can try what's proposed in the guide to see if bootmii will run the app from your SD card but I don't think it will fix your issue.

Although when you throw the system files are corrupt message into the mix I guess it can possibly be a software related problem but this would still have nothing to do with it overheating. So I guess give it a try and maybe it will work.

Maybe. Everytime it happens wii is on standby, wiiconnect24 on and the shell reallyy hot. Now thing is I just tried the method found on the link I posted and it brought the wii back to life. It shows the warning screen but when I press A it says The System Files Are Corrupt. Not sure if it helps but when I used to power up the wii (turn on sounds ackward) and it was hot cause of the overheat the system menu worked fine until I tried to open a channel then it said corrupt but after a while it fixed itself. Any tips on the corrupt issue now?

Does the corrupt message come up right away after the health screen or does it load the system menu and then come up after a few seconds?

You can try the 4.1u Nand Formatter. Check out post #38 in this thread. If it's not hardware related this should work.

Is your region USA?

It is. 4.2u I think it is. Trying to look for a way to open homebrew channel to extract saved files or to install cIOS's manually from wad manager. Bootmii runs and so does wadmanager. NAND shows around 73% so trying to restore the files before I try format

If reinstalling your system menu IOS and system menu didn't work then I doubt that will either. If you want to try manually installing all IOS you can download the wad manager I posted in that thread and it includes all the IOS. Again, I don't think it will work out but is worth giving it a shot I guess.
