Ca autoboot disks load but gamecuble controller does work

    Hi,

I bought a Wii console only and the screen is black on start up. I tried the gamecube in slot #4 with the 4 buttons pressed down and got 3.1J in the bottom right corner. I got both "Autoboot Wad Manager" and "Autoboot Region Changer" to load.
"Autoboot Wad Manager" asks me to push button "1" or "2" on the wiimote and
"Autoboot Region Changer" asks me to push "A" to continue.
However, as I bought this console on its own, my wiimotes are not synced to this console, ( but tried) and when i plug in another gamecube controller it won't work at all.
    Am stuck. Please advise.
Could it be the bluetooth module??
Thanks in advance to any replies

probably not a bluetooth mod as you need (I think) a GC controller for this.

Hold down reset and push power to see if you got lucky and have priiloader installed

Also, how many times does the disc drive flash when you boot up, 1 or 2 times.

Thanks for your reply. It only flashes once on start up then goes black, so guessing it didn't have boot2 installed. Any ideas on how to get the past the autodisks' requests to push "A" or buttons "1" or "2" without a synced wiimote. Does a gamecube controller work in this case, if so, which slot and when, and what buttons correspond to which wimote buttons.
Right now the 2nd gamecube controllers is as responsive as, well not responsive at all.
    Thanks again

Some peeps only know to press 1 and 2 to sync. Do you know about the red button by the SD slot. Press that, then press the little button on the back of your wiimote. Any help?

Try to autoboot a game, if it boots sync the wiimotes using the red buttons. I don't think any discs would boot if your bluetooth module was bad.
Try to autoboot MMM-16.zip, it has gc controller support. You can use it to install wads and load other apps if needed.I would run the hackmii installer and install boot2 bootmii if you can before you do anything else, if possible.

I tried autobooting a game but the disk just spun forever with the 3.1(JPN) still in the bottom righthand corner. Also tried to download the MMM-16.zip file but all 3 times it failed to mount just as the download was completing. Would you mind upping that iso again.
    Thanks again

just unzip and burn mmm-16.zip and burn. It only works on <3.4, not 4.x.
