I was getting the wii setting menu error so was trying to fix it and found that there was a wad that would do it, but not sure if I got a bad file or what and now I think I am screwed. I have a NAND backup, but I can't get bootmii to load, any help to make some attempt to load up bootmii and I can take care of the rest, I think. Thanks you in advance for any suggestions.

By the overwhelming response and your remark, I believe I will be looking to purchase another wii. Oh well, this one was my first softmod and I accidently screwed up the wii setting menu and it has worked fine, but I attempted to fix it and screwed it up. I have done a few others since and so I think I will be okay with getting another one and softmodding it.
Anyone think trying the Savemiifrii and the Nintendo back up disk 1.31 might work? I need to get a hold of a gamecube controller and then try it out. You don't need to take apart the wii, just the controller, correct?
Only thing that could help is boot2 bootmii. Do you have boot2 bootmii? Savemiifrii won't work, do you have a nand.bin from bootmii? You should send the wii out to be reprogrammed.
Your wii is bricked because you install system menu 3.2, but don't have ios30-v1040 installed, or your wii is new and bricks on ios30-v1040
I have a Nand backup, but I am unable to get bootmii to load, I know I loaded it back when I did my backup, but not sure why it is not loading anymore. What files are needed on the SD card for Bootmii to work? How much is it to have the wii reprogrammed and who does it? If the price is not that bad, I would do that. Thanks for the info.
You didn't answer his question --- did you install BootMii as boot2 or IOS? He certainly can't help you if you fail to respond to his question(s)...
Sorry, I believe I did both. It was my first softmod and it was about a year ago so not sure.
