    Burn wiikey.1.99.beta.jap.rar to update the firmware
    then burn cfg.1.9s.JAP.rar to config the disk

    Still not working, went through the update using the remove disk method. The config disk however showed an error message as soon as I put it in.(language jpn...couldn't read it). Wii will not read Wii disk.

    Download AnyRegion Changer 4.1 mod6. You can find it in my guide below in the section installing 4.1, Chapter 2 -part 2, there is a section to region change a wii. Downlaod that app and run it, ensure you don't have a region mismatch, if you do- fix it. Also, you need to use cIOS249 -r14 or r-17, r19/20 wont work- If you have cIOS236 or a patched ios36, you can us those to change the region info to Jap if you have 4.3j installed.
