I was running system menu 4.2 and my bro updated my wii and while it was updating turned it off. I have preloader, BootMii and The Homebrew Channel installed. Now whenever i boot my wii up it goes to bootmii and when i hit wii menu it goes to preloader and says the files are corrupted! So when i go to the homebrew channel from bootmii, my wii freezes PLEASE HELP!!!
Easiest fix would be to restore from your NAND since you have bootmii as boot2. If you don't have a nand backup then there's a semi-brick fix HERE. Or a Restore with boot2 with no NAND backup HERE.
I don't think you have a semi brick though. Semi brick is when you accept an out of region update. I'd restore your own nand or use the boot2 method linked above.
that would have worked but i have system menu 4.2u and no NAND backup please help!!
Do my "Guide: Softmod Any wii" linked below. Install HBC via "Other desperate Options" Use bootmii to install HBC. Do the whole guide and you will be back in action.
i have 4.2u not 4.3 and i have HBC installed sometimes using bootmii it will load very rarely though.
It will work on any wii with boot2 bootmii, it has nothing to do with 4.3. Just Backup/format your card, do the guide, 5-10 minute later your wii is fixed.Quote:

What are you confused about? The guide I linked you to has Chapter 1: installing the HBC and Chapter 2: Hacking you wii. You have HBC so you need to finish and hack your wii. When your doing this part, you need to install System menu 4.1 to fix your corrupted system menu. Just follow the guide step by step and you should be good to go.Quote:
