    Weird Temporary brick

Bought a wii mobo from ebay.

When I run usb loader gx or hbc and click the start, wii freezes and will result to buzzing sound. I press the power button and it will either black screen or will present garbled corrupted system menu message. I have to try for maybe around 3 tries of unplugging wires and turning on the wii before it goes to health screen and to wii channels. And usb loader will either freeze again or run without a hitch. I tried removing the hdd since I'm suspecting my hdd but it doesn't make the problem go away.

Is this an issue with the new mobo? any solution?

Do a Syscheck and post the results here. Use WordPad to open the CSV and NOT Notepad.

Perhaps you have corrupt preloader install and the preloader is set to load some ios other than the system, ios36 perhaps. Or perhaps your ios35 is crap. Do your other channels loads? Do your disks load form the disk channel?

Sometimes, channels (HBC, Neogammar, Usbloadergx) loads most of the time they freeze when I click the start. Maybe the mobo did load thru disc channel (I found out a while ago its cioscorped) but don't use it anymore since my drive is d3-2 from my bricked wii.

Loading HBC thru bootmii results to freeze. Sometimes it also freezes when I press the A button in the Health screen.

Running the HBC forwarder results to "Error running apps". I'm sure its in my apps folder and even detected by app manager.

Running priiloader results to black screen.

Are you sure you had sd:\apps\HBC forwarder\boot.dol?
Has worked fine for me and others. The new priiloader installer broke its ability to load from MMM for some reason, that is why I added the HBC forwarder. But if you installed those wads, you should be fixed, yes? No?
