Smile Semi/Partial Bricked Wii- Korean Region.(FIXED) THX MAUIFROG

My friend gave me a Wii he bought in Iraq while deployed. He said it was broken and I could have it. The system menu does not work. When I click it, I get a white screen with 3 little black dots on the left.
I have read through the how to make your will a virgin guide by dogeggs and was about to plunge in starting with step A. I even bought a LAN adapter. I kept getting error ret-116.
I resorted to searching some more and was looking for a system menu restore wad. This led me to find what model I have. It is a Korean model, I found using mauifrogs guide. The serial starts with LKM.
Now I am really confused. I just dont know what to do or how to go about doing it. Here is what I know for anyone of the experts to assist me:

    1. It is a Korean Wii (Starts with LKM serial -(mauifrogs guide)
    2. System menu does not work (partial brick) Dont know which version of the system menu I have, but i know its over a year old.
    3. It has a homebrew channel
    4. It has a wii softchip channel (when channel is launched I see (+)IOS 249 REV 8 loaded

I would like to make it a virgin again, so I can use it and get on the net with it. Any expert help is GREATLY appreciated!

Glad you fixed it, and glad I could help even though you fixed it faster than I could respond.

After your guide I used this guide by dogeggs http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ml?pagenumber= to make the wii virgin. The only thing I have left is homebrew.
If I accidentally update to 4.3 from nintendo would everything be okay since I followed all the steps to make it a virgin wii again?

No dont update, install priiloader, and enable block disk updates and block online updates and the region free ones, there is no reason to stay on 4.3, if you have the new HB channel, it might stay with the update, but you will most likely lose your cIOS

Okay, so i still have some modified stuff on the Wii from what you are saying. I just dont want to jack anything up at this point. I cant believe I even was able to fix this thing going from absolutely zero knowledge. Priiloader sounds like what I need. Is there anything I should be aware of before I install that. I have followed the steps above from mauifrogs guide and followed the steps of dogeggs guide to bring the wii back to virgin except the very last step, I left the homebrew channel on it. My question is, can I install priiloader, with the current state my Wii is in?
