@TheBandicootAddict: I don't think so...

You can use wii bootme to set an offical game iso to autoboot-
Wii BootMe - WiiBrew
You should be able to autoboot games this way, assuming your dvd drive is not a d3-2 or similar and can actually read burned dvd media.
What softmod guide did you follow?
Did you install a patched ios70?
Did you trucha patch ios36?
Did you update to 4.2 via Nintedo online update or disk, or did you use wanikoko's updater or other?
Read this- http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...oot-disks.html
All recovery methods are detailed. Have a good look at the recovery disks, mario kart channel install, and SSDm (nand fill).

Ipsa scientia potestas est.
Warning: Piracy is NOT supported. Word your questions carefully.
Stupid question: How do I use Bootme?
To answer your questions: I don't know. I may of installed trucha patch ios36, in fact I remember vividly doing so, but I forget if I failed or not.
Bootme won't run on either of my computers! Any suggestions? It kind of flashes in front of the screen instead of launching. EDIT: I found an alternative: Wii Autoboot Creator

You have to be in the command prompt to use BootMe. It will not work just by double ckicking it. Good luck with Wii Autoboot Creator.
