Hi Guys
I have been given a Bricked wii,(Black Screen)it has a modchip installed,not sure which chip until i can get hold of a tri-wing screwdiver.
the wii is about 2007/early 2008 model and it has been softmodded to system menu 4.2E. preloader29 with bootmii as ios.
he also gave me the nand backup he created.(before he killed the console by uninstalling ios70)is there any possible fix apart from flashing the nand with
infectus?
Nand flashing is the only way.
Doing it yourself or sending it to me (depending on where in the world etc).
Can you access Preloader?
If so try to load WAD Manger or DOP-Mii and install the missing IOS70
If he deleted IOS70 then Priiloader will not work as it attaches to the system menu. They only way is a Nand programmer as mentioned.Quote:

I also deleted IOS70 - thinking it was something else that crashed my SD-card each time I accessed it. I do not have a NAND dump, but I would be happy if the console was reset to the original firmware v4.2.E. I could then softmod it again, and stay away from the IOS wads (!).
Is it possible to use the NAND Flash to reset the Wii to its original firmware, or is there another possibility?

If you do not have a nand backup, your Wii is only repairable if bootmii is installed (or was installable as) boot2.
If you do not know, then post your 3 letters and the next 5 digits from your serial to help me guess if it is repairable or not.
