IT'S ALIVE!!!!! Thanks everyone for all the help. My Wii is not going to the system menu. I haven't tried any games in it yet, but one victory at a time.

So, what would everyone recommend I do to keep this from ever being a problem again? Install Bootmii immediately would be one likely response, anything else I should do? I did notice that my Wii now has the Wii speak channel, which it never had before, and now TWO Wii Weather and Shop channels. Is this normal now?

Thank you all for the help. I can't tell you how great this is. Not only is my Wii back up and running, but I am like a superhero to my 7 year old boy!

Further inspection shows me that I still have the homebrew channel, but for some reason it is upside down when I open it. Even the cursor moves opposite. Also, I seem to have lost the ability to run out of region games. I am assuming that this is just because I really need to go back and re-load all the proper items I need. The system is a bit unstable when in the Wii system menu as well. Sometimes it will freeze up apparently randomly when I am navigating through the pages. I tried to look at my Wii memory, to check on my saved games, but the console freezes then as well. Not that I am bothered by this much, but I want to make sure I document it all for you guys, and those that follow me. I know the game info is still there, because I popped my WiiFit disk in and all my Miis were still around.

I should also mention that my system is now showing as running on 4.2U

You should read the brick prevention linked below, and install cIOS80-v6174.zip

Thanks Mauifrog. I will put that on tonight. it took a bit of work, and some IOS changing, to get the stuff back. I was following the 4.2 hack instructions, and then had to switch over to your fix for the "no vulnerable IOS found" stuff, and then back to continue on. But I have Homebrew installed, and a Neogamma channel added. I don't think I need the USB Loader right now, so I am leaving that off.

Thanks everyone for all the help!
