So after getting my wii to boot from the proper file on a sd card, I followed this walk though:

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html

Everything is working perfectly except one problem. When I try to install a game to the hard drive in USB Loader GX it locks up and will not install the game.

All the games that were on the hard drive before work fine now, but for some reason I cannt seem to install any new ones. Any ideas there?

    Thanks again!

Search wont search "cvs" so I winged it and I think it should be attached. Had to rename it to upload it.

Hard to read the posted cvs report but I think it looks ok. Try an updated version of USB Loader GX. You will have to change the rxxx.dol to boot.dol and replace with the current boot.dol in usbloadergx in the apps folder on sd card. Or you can just use wad manager to install one of the updated rxxx.wad to install as a channel.

Not sure why the report is hard to read, is there some way to fix that for you?

I downloaded the newest wad and tryed to install it from the wad manager. Got an error... Redownloaded got the same error.

Already had a USB Loader GX Channel, and now it does load a diffrent version. Seems to work fine but still cannt rip a game.

So I thought I should try the other method and replace the boot.dol in the apps folder with the new r938.dol... Looking in that folder there is no usbloader folder in apps. Not sure what boot.dol to replace this being the case.. Or is perhaps this my problem? Not sure.

    Thanks again for your help!

Regarding the boot.dol... That is only for if you are running usb loader from your sd card. E.G. if you open usb loader from the homebrew channel. Not sure why you are having those issues as it looks like cIOS249 is installed correctly. Your cvs report is kind of hard to read because the IOS versions and patches don't line up exactly.

You may want to try re-installing cIOS249 with the cIOS38 rev17 installer.

I'm officially leaving on vacation for a cruise to the Bahamas tomorrow morning so this is my last post for about a week or so. Keep trying and also if anyone can help skandranon along with this issue it would be appreciated as I'm not going to be able to check in. Good luck man.

    CSV = Comma Separated Values

If you rename it from .txt back to CSV excel will open it and it will all line up fine.

Keep getting an error when I try to re-installing cIOS249 with the cIOS38 rev17 installer.

Not sure why. USB Loader still wont update correctly.

I have the feeling I did something wrong or missed a step, but I have gone though the guide step by step and everything should be done. I dont understand.

I right now I cannt get USB loader to load at all. Tired of messing around with the modding, I just want to get the **** thing to a usable state where I can rip a disk and play games. Grr

Why are you trying to reinstall cIOS249? Are you having issues with it? Have you tried a different loader? Maybe you have a bad version of GX. There are a lot of bugged versions out there.
