    Possibly Bricked, hope?

Ok, Here is what happend. My friend sent me a free game off wii-shop channel for helping him out on certain computer issues since he's short on cash. The only way I could go through the shop channel is "update" So I found waninkoko's Firmware 4.3b updater (the one that doesn't remove homebrew on US consoles). Updating went well until I got to the system menu 4.3U. I got a Ret-1010 error and my wii reset.

The menu will not load but preloader loads up and refuses to boot. I have bootmii and preloader 0,29 and a back up of my NAND. Now the question is....How do I recover? The system will not load the system menu AT ALL. Preloader says "Error loading system menu" or something. Please can someone help me with this issue. I KNEW I should have backed up my wiiware titles before preforming this because I was running out of wii memory due to all the wiiware titles on my system menu. Any help please?

Can someone please help? Sorry if I am being a pest or if no one wants to help. I just want my wii to work again. I can't access the HBC or my system menu because I got the -ret error 1010 while installing waninkoko's 4.3 U. Is there at all any way to fix this problem. I wouldn't beg but if someone could offer a hand up in this. I do have preloader and bootmii, along with a NAND back up. help, please?

Edit, I should have stated the system menu I was on eh? I was on 4.2u waninkoko. I suppose I have to reinstall the menu? How do I do that? (Be paitent with me, I am learning)

I'm guessing your bootmii is an ios? You said preloader cannot boot the system menu, but can it boot directly to the HBC? If so, you have several options.

    |4.1U|Bootmii/boot2|Priiloader v.04|
    |Wiiflow 2.1 Forwarder|Triiforce MRC SS USB Forwarder|VBAgx v2.0.08|WiiMC v1.0.6|

My Bootmii is on C2 or SD card.
@mauifrog Since my system was updating to 4.3 wan, wouldn't going back to 4.2u nintendo official be dangerous? Is there a way I can go to 4.2u waninkoko? Sorry if I'm confusing.

@fiire = HBC will not load in preloader, it can't find the title.

My guide take you back to 4.1, but you are correct, there is one issue. In addition to the guide, you should install IOS70-64-v6687.zip with dop-mii with all 3 patches. I don't really think wani's update would stub ios70, but you never know. You could check I suppose.

does dop-mii patch automatically or do I have to scruvy around google to find these patches you speak of? Do I put dop-mii.dol in the root of SD card and load with preloader's "Load File" option?

You just need to follow the guide, nothing else. Except ios70. Dop-mii does it all
