    Fully bricked Wii

    Hi,

I am trying to fix my fully bricked Wii. I bricked by foolishly updating every IOS with Dop-Mii. Upon powering on it gives me a blank black screen and freezes, though the eject button and disc loader work. It has system menu 4.1 with priiloader and bootmii is installed as an IOS. No nand backup. Pressing reset or GC Dpad from port 4 and startup does nothing. Tried the bootmii boot 2 guide and everything else I could find out of desperation. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Don't know what happened but now upon powering on it also displays a white x'ed out speaker in a white outlined purple box. This icon just moves up and down the left side of the screen.

No nand backup = no nand reprogramming. You all muck up, there is nothing you can do.
You install ios60-v6400, which is a useless stub. You should of read all those warnings dop-mii was showing you.
Sell the dvd drive, bluetooth module, wifi module and case parts on ebay, or sell the whole thing as perma bricked/for parts only.

Unfortunately the file I downloaded for dop-mii only said to be careful. Didn't tell me what IOS stay away from. But that's what i get for not doing more research. Learned the hard way.
Do any of the unbricking hardware work?
I saw something posted in this forum about it. There was a nice little tutorial with it.

Sorry about that. I just looked at the logs because I was unaware of this. That's what I get for not locking the laptop.

I think it says Warning this file is a STUB, it is useless, etc, etc.

    hi mauifrog,
    may u help to clarify:
--while ios60_v6400 is stub, what if only ios64_v6174 installed ?
--could a NAND Flash be applicable for brick recovery, in this case ?
    thank you.

You need the nand backup from bootmii or an old wii that supports boot2 install of bootmii for the nand flash to work. I don't think you have either.

mauifrong, great and fast reply, appreciated.
luckily, i've 2 wii's both of old versions (assumed boot2 supportive of bootmii). the bad thing was i did installed bootmii as boot2 and nand backup on 1 Wii, and left the other untouch (3.2x). now , the later one was fully bricked as i tried to install all 4.2x IOSs but forgot to install SysMenu when exit fm wad-mgr and hbc ...and power off. Fully bricked, then.
in short, is the NAND Flash only way for me to get it back fm a full-brick ?
    thanks again.

If the Wii supports bootmii as boot2 (even tho you didnt install it), It can be repaired by flashing the NAND.
