Also as I understood it, every Wii Nand has its own Bios and therefore you cannot flash your Nand with one from another Wii, or has something changed that, it was a long time ago when I read that.

You have a launch Wii, you can flash bootmii into the nand and use bootmii to recover the Wii.

If you had read the stickys at the top of the forum you know know this.

I must admit I didn't look at those. Can you tell me which guide you actually mean, is it the one which requires me to buy and fit the Infectus chip or one of the others ?

I was looking into the Infectus a while back, only thing is my soldering ability is not up to the job, considered getting on presoldered on a Wii-Clip, but I cannot seem to find a stockest who has one. They either sell the Wii-Clip or the Chip separately, no pre soldered with those. Unless anyone knows a site that does them like that.

Or are there any other chips that allow you to flash the nand?

No, only infectus or a professional programmer.

Ok, I will probably try looking into infectus again then. But I could do with some help regarding it if anyone can oblige. Firstly, I am a little confused about this chip and the website does not do a very good job of explaining procedures, the forum is shut down and there is nothing listed on the resellers page at all.
What I need to know is the following, in regards to installation, where does the Infectus fit. I have seen pictures of it fitted like a normal drive chip, including seeing a Wii-Clip for it, as well as seeing a picture somewhere with a ton of wires and fitted directly to the NAND, I am assuming that means you can fit it both ways depending on what you are trying to do so can someone please confirm which fitting options are available as far as NAND flashing is concerned, I guess just fitted directly to the NAND.
If fitted to the NAND, can it be used for anything else or does it have to be reinstalled as a drive chip?
Is there anything like the Wii-Clip for the NAND as opposed to all that soldering?
Does anyone know of a reseller that offers a supply and fitting service for the Infectus chip as I cannot find anyone?

    Thanks

Also, just thinking further. Would a SaveMii be of any use, or is that really for a different problem.

Theres no clip, it needs soldering to the nand.
You want the chip removing after the Wii is repaired.
I offer reflashing of the NAND, which would be cheaper than buying a chip and having it fitted, but postage would be your major issue.
