    Banner Brick Help

Hello everyone, I've apparently bricked my Wii and was hoping someone could help. I searched around the forums for a good 30min so I wouldn't have to post as I know this sort of thing comes up very often but I couldn't seem to find any answers.

First off I'm running 4.2 firmware, and I'm getting the "system files are corrupted" message. It doesn't happen right away, I can actually access the Wii menu for a short period. Also I am able to access maintenance mode. From what I've read I have a bad wad, but I have no idea how to remove it. I uninstalled the homebrew channel I'm not sure if I'm going to need it to remove it but I can put it back on if necessary.

Well I hope someone can help, even a point towards the first step would be great. Any help at all is greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Moved to the bricked section. I'm guessing this user hasn't bothered searching.

Do you have Priiloader / preloader installed? If you do Power up the Wii and hold RESET. You will be able to go to the Priiloader / Preloader menu. Go to Homebrew Channel (HBC) and then go to wad manager and uninstall the bad wad.

EDIT: Didn't read that you uninstalled HBC.

Searched? you didn't notice a whole section of the forum devoted to bricked wii consoles did ya? Much better place to post a question as well.

You probably could have a corrupt message board. Hold + and - at the health screen, then push A while holding. If your system menu loads, do this-
    download Det1re's Mailbox Brick Fix.
    1. Copy "apps" and "fstoolbox" to your SD card root and overwrite if asked.
    2. Startup the Wii and boot HBC (you can use BootMii, Preloader or the Maintainance mode)
    to do so.
    3. From HBC, run FSToolbox r50 and follow the on-screen instructions until you see your
Wii's file struct (import, meta, shared1, shared2, sys, ticket, title, tmp).
    4. Navigate to shared2/wc24/ and replace any file with the one from SD by pressing PLUS.
    5. Navigate to shared2/wc24/mbox/ and do the same there.
    6. End the app and restart the Wii. You will get a message that your Mail account is broken
    and will be restored.

Doing the steps above will remove all your saved friends and all messages from your
    Message Board.

If that does not help, try a system format.
You may want to backup your saves first.
