Load SSBB with sd-card removed. Delete all the custome stages in SSBB. Then copy smash stack to sd-card, load SSBB and run smash stack

Yes, make a save. Load custom stage builder and delete any custom stages found there. Then put smash stack on a standard sd card and load ssbb and got stage builder. It should load sd:\boot.elf

OK, then it is not working. You deleted all the custom stages? You have the smash stack files as the should be? Your using ssbb-ntsc?

Format your sd-card and extract 4.1u-Nand_Formatter.zip to sd:\
Boot the wii, bootmii should start
Run the formater from the sd menu.

    Data management brick

My wii has a partial brick as described in this thread.

I have bootmii installed as boot2 and I have been trying to use different tools to restore my wii so it is working properly. Among the data management screen freezing I also have various games freeze during game play and want to start from scratch.

My wii now freezes when trying to install IOS17. I have tried to replace the settings and make my own with no success. I have tried 2 different SD cards which have been formatted various times using both FAT16 and FAT32.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!
