    I had a Wii that would boot up, but wouldnt load games, channels or homebrew (but would load the homebrew channel), it actually turned out to be the DVD ribbon cable wasn't connected correctly.

    took it apart, refit the cable and worked perfectly.

    ok but how do i syscheck, or take my wii apart safely?

    Look here for the how-to on your SysCheck and here for the how-to on disassembly (note: requires tri-wing screwdriver; easily obtainable on Flea Bay).

    I got Syscheck. I'll try it soon, and don't worry, I already have a triwing screwdriver. You guys are so helpful. I really appreciate all you do! Hopefully I'll become a Wii guru also, who can contribute as much knowledge as all of you!

    Hmmm, only strange thing I see is IOS55 and that the system menu 4.1 is running under IOS 36. But I do not know wether this is normal.
