    sounds like hardware issue to me...

    and mauifrog, if setting.txt isnt found it makes a generic USA one.

    I had try to compile it and using it to format my wii. it's worked for me. but it has SYSCONF problem. when you changed your area with any region change, and save it, will gets error -102.
    I would like to know if this version fixes this problem.

    It doesnt.

    It looks like file permissions error.

    We will look into that with version we are making.

    In the short term, you can edit the source of the offical version to do the region change for you.
    in main.c you will find the section where it writes the setting.txt file, just edit this to the region you want etc.

    what's the txt file do? if it's not found, would that cause the issue i am facing? and what must go in the txt?
