I have a question , This is just for curiosity

I have modded a few wiis now the ones that can not have boot2 on then I have installed priiloader, What I was wondering is I know you said it is not advisable to use this method with boot iso but have you ever tried it with sucsses

Like I said just curious as it seems straight forward

    Thanks

Yes I have done it on a Bootmii/IOS Wii.

But I have the tools to recover if it went wrong.

And "looks straight forward" long as your SD card works, if your card isnt compatible you will end up with a bricked Wii.

Also make sure to have a bootmii backup or at least your keys.bin before attempting this with bootmii as IOS. That way you can always encrypt a working NAND with your keys and have it flashed to your Wii if you have to.

Do this as a last resort.
If you are reprogramming Wiis, you should be using cboot2 to get into MMM or dopmii to reinstall the missing IOS/system menu/what ever.

I started doing this and got as far as backing up NAND but the white 'current block' has been stuck on the same block for ~20 minutes. Where do I go from here ? I clearly dont want to switch it off as there is a dont power off symbol at the bottom right of the screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's amazing what you find when you use the search function ! Use it. It's free !

If its in the backup process you can power it off.

Sounds like its not liking your SD card. try another one
