That wouldn't be a good idea. They would fix it but charge you an arm and a leg. If you are handy with a screwdriver then this is a simple and inexpensive fix.

You can just buy the bluetooth module on eBay for around $10.

Not at all. The BT module is seated to the motherboard with friction and a piece of tape. They tend to come loose sometimes so I would check to make sure it's seated properly first.

Here's a couple pictures that may help you to better understand.

Nope.. It just plugs in. You will need a "triwing" screwdriver though but you can get that from eBay too. I don't believe there is a guide here to dissemble a Wii all the way down to the BT (maybe I should write one) but if you google it you will find something.

Thanks Bad_Ad84 your guide fixed my Wii. I bricked my Wii by restoring a corrupted Nand. After formatting the Nand using your guide I am back in business.

One question. Do you know or anyone else know how important it is to have the correct serial number? I wasn't able to import the custom settings.txt file because I don't have a GC controller. The formatter created a generic settings txt but used a different serial number. Should I bother getting a GC controller and starting over again so I end up with the correct serial or just leave it? My wii is out of warranty long ago.
