4.1 is the recommended system menu.
You CAN goto 4.2 if you want, but it has a boot2 update and could overwrite (and remove) bootmii.

Hey Bad_Ad84 how long is your program supposed to take to reinstall the nand, I'm trying to fix a 4.3U system from my stupidity and I have no way of telling if it is actually doing anything

Is this compatible to use with the "new" Wiis, those that can't go to 3.x/have boot2v4/black/LU64+. I hear some IOSes are not compatible with those, but nobody really mentions which ones.
Mine was 4.2E out of the box, and i want to go down to 4.1
Thanks in advance.

I haven't had any wii that could not update, all can got to 4.3... no problems with boot2v4, nor no issues with the LU64+
4.2 is fully exploited, fyi. But in short yes you can use ththis to go back to 4.1 with the bare basics.

Are you sure New Super Mario Bros. Wii has v. 4.1u on it? I just wanna make sure before I go and do this, I searched around and some people said it had v4.2u on it o_o... is this true?

Bad_ad84 : you guys have a stupid bug in nandformatter. It will install ANY file in the /wad folder, including hidden files used by the OS. For example, OSX for every file somename.wad will create a ._somename.wad file. nandformatter-2.0 tried to install those files, and failed. and left me with a total brick (black wii, so no bootmii/boot2, no rescue with infectus). I'm not mad or anything, but let this be a warning to you all.
On another note, is there anything i can do with it, or is it dead-dead?
