It hasn't been clearly answered if you can use thre 4.1 NAND formatter with 4.2 firmware or even 4.3 ?
Also ,what are the precautions when you have bootmii installed only as IOS ? Power cut would kill it, what else ?

Thank you very much for the formatter. I have repaired 2 out of 4 wii's I had stilling in the corner bricked. I have a question though, the other 2 did reformat and did work for a few mins.. I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the programming so I'm guessing it hardware failure, but not sure.
After the formatting and loaded 4.2u with Mario Galaxy 2 I rebooted after everything was complete. Now what happens is the red light will come on, when you press power it turns orange for a second then off no led lit. Then I will unplug the power cord, wait about 5 mins plug it back in. I get the red light, then again orange led then off.
Any ideas on what it could be?
