    Semi-Bricked Wii?

Just looking for some help here. I Have to mods or hacks on my Wii but when i turn my wii on it says "Mii Channel unable to load data" and then my wii completely freezes on the Home screen and I cant get any further than that. I called Nintendo and apperantly there is a Mii on my system that has been edited with Third Party software and is corrupt and if I am able to delete it My wii should return to normal but since Im not able to get to access my Mii Channel i cant do anything and I really don't wanna pay Nintendo $85 for something that I maybe able to fix myself with some guidance. I think maybe if Im able to access the Wii's Internal Memory from my PC I can erase the Mii data. If anyone knows of a way to do this or has had this problem or just knows of a solution I would really like to know the Fix!

    Thank You!

What is the system menu version?
    Do you have boot2 bootmii?
    Do you have priiloader?
Do you have a gc-controller? Try savemiifrii?
    Do you have a modchip?

Read the sticky about blackscreens above for info on all of this. Post back with your finding. What guide did you follow to softmod?

Okay. I just got home from work. I started the Wii up and the message "Mii Chanel data cant be loaded" came up and the console froze. I unplugged the AC adapter, re-inserted it and turned the Wii back on and put it in Maintenance mode which I read about on these forums and "Tada" the Wii works I deleted all the Mii data restarted the wii and it still freezes when its not in Maintenance mode. So now im clueless as to what it could be. The Nintendo people said I should try reformatting my Wii but I have alot of VC downloads that I dont wanna lose But if thats the solution I guess ill try it but before I do anyone got any other suggestions. And according to the wii im running system 4.0U!

You could have a corrupt message board. Hold + and - at the health screen, then push A while holding. If your system menu loads, do this-
    download Det1re's Mailbox Brick Fix.
    1. Copy "apps" and "fstoolbox" to your SD card root and overwrite if asked.
    2. Startup the Wii and boot HBC (you can use BootMii, Preloader or the Maintainance mode)
    to do so.
    3. From HBC, run FSToolbox r50 and follow the on-screen instructions until you see your
Wii's file struct (import, meta, shared1, shared2, sys, ticket, title, tmp).
    4. Navigate to shared2/wc24/ and replace any file with the one from SD by pressing PLUS.
    5. Navigate to shared2/wc24/mbox/ and do the same there.
    6. End the app and restart the Wii. You will get a message that your Mail account is broken
    and will be restored.

Doing the steps above will remove all your saved friends and all messages from your
    Message Board.

If that does not help, try a system format.
You may want to backup your saves first.
