System files corrupted on non hacked wii

I have spent several hours reading the different guides and i haven't found an answer yet. so I'm going to explain and I would appreciate it if someone can tell me if i have to send my wii back to nintendo. I keep getting the system files corrupt screen after the health warning screen. I tried to boot in maintenance mode ( holding - and + and A while the system boots) but it didnt work. I do not know what system menu i have but I haven't hack my system yet. I was going to do it but then this came up. The last time i did an update was about 8 months ago in September 2009. Is there any other information required and can anything be done to recover my wii or is it a lost cause?

Read http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...creen-wii.html Use the savemiifrii method. You could also send it to nintendo if the waranty still covers it, because you did not hack anything.
Awesome sig picture does not work

well i tried the gc controller method of putting it into slot 4 and holding down the 4 directions on the dpad and nothing happend. I did the boot up during which i was holding the for directions and held it down while the health screen was up, then I kept holding until it automatically when into the next screen which said the system files are corrupted. My wii isnt covered in the warranty as it has already passed it time. On the flow chart to figure wat kind of brick it is, its says banner brick and it says to use the anytitle deleter autoboot disk which when i did a live search didn't appear with any results. also the guide says to that original gc controllers need to be modified but how? I only have 2 controllers and they are both originals.

Once you open the gc controller and remove the pin, check your sm version. If your less than 4.2, try to update to 4.2 via SMG 2 retail game.

You could try using The Speed Demon Data Management Method: New Unbricking Method For (Bannerbricks) 4.1v Wii's and below - GBAtemp.net
Or if you remember your wii firmware is under 4.0, you could try this: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ner-brick.html
Or if you remember that your wii has some trucha-patched IOS, you could try using any disc from this page: Brick Fixing Disc's - GBAtemp.net

All methods require a modchip configured to autoboot.

Thanks for the help. I found out my system is a 4.1 USA after using the Savemiifree. I was wondering was retail games have the 4.2 update on it other that super mario galaxy 2 and endless ocean 2 that I saw in another post. I read through the guides offered by redarrow but they didnt really apply as i didnt have the requirements. but i think im going to try to do savemiifree with a game that has 4.2 update and then install preloader so i dont go through this again. But could someone one help me find out what games have this on them cuz i wasn't able to find anything online that mention the updates that came with games.
