I wouldn't want to mislead or give you false hope.
    Appreciate

Well, could i reprogram my Wii NAND (FULLY reprogram it) with a NAND that is NOT from the same wii? I have read a bit about this, and from what i learned the wii nand itself is digitally signed so that it does not work with any other wii than the one it was born with.. But then again, there was something about decrypting it, and then re-encrypting it?

Regarding hopes, the wii is dead as i see it (the brick happend half a year ago), so IMO, its lost as it is now Just trying to revive it.

EDIT: About cIOS, none of them installed either - i learned about security in soft modding AFTER i bricked it
    Ok

No, it must be from the Wii that is being reprogrammed.

The only way you can use another NAND is by having the keys from the broken Wii and using betwiin, a donor nand and keys to create a new dump.

You need the donor nand and the matching keys to decrypt the dump, then the faulty Wii's keys to reencrypt it.

Excactly.. Problem is - where the HELL are those wii keys from the first Wii Not sure i have them anymore..

Would it be possible to replace the main board of the faulty wii? That would supply a whole new NAND... Its about 600 DKK, if i install it myself.

I sell the boards cheaper than that on ebay.

But yes, a board replacement would work if the update fails.

Well, what do you charge for a board? Incl shipping And how hard is it to install?

    Main board here -http://www.konsol-chips.dk/shop/nintendo-wii-mainboard-442p.html
    More expensive than i thought....

You don't need to replace whatever board.

Assuming you do have an autoboot chip, you can burn a slew of games (first, configing them to autoboot), and have their save files fill up your nand (all 2000 or so blocks). It's easier to do if you use games that install channels, and/or your nand was close to being filled before the brick. Once filled, the wii will force you to the data management screen, where you will bannerbomb, and continue to fix the bannerbrick.

If doing such is too tedius, you can load WiiFit, say the date is incorrect, it'll take you to the settings screen, where you can format the wii. I've done this on two wii's, and neither time was there an issue.

However, before you do any of the above, ask Mauifrog as I think there's now a simpler solution to your problem.

What they said. Updating doesn't help banner bricks, so ideally, either NAND Reprogramming or The Speed Demon Data Management Method would be your way to go(That is, if you do not want to replace your Motherboard).

I would prefere not to replace the board

Autobooting burned discs is NOT an option, the trucha bug is not installed :/ I looked at The Speed Demon Data Management Method, and that requires me to autoboot discs, which is again not an option.... SOL here or?

you can load WiiFit, say the date is incorrect
Hmm.. That would be easy? But then again, autobooting????

Thank you everyone, new ideas being pulled out of the sleves, so nice

you have a mod chip... you can autoboot games fine, you just cant play games that have had the content modified (i.e. a disk with wad manager on it)

thats how people with korean wiis are still playing games.
