Endless Ocean 2 has Semi Bricked my Wii

I have a modified Japenese Wii and have been using it no problem for 18 months (Original and backup). Went to run Endless Ocean 2 tonight and it has semi bricked my Wii - as all text is in Japenese wasn't sure what it was doing. Now I can only get Mario Kart to play, no other games work - disk not recognised.
This Wii has never been on the internet and has no homebrew installed. Have tried various options from googling, but no joy. Can not get into the configuration page - opera error page. Anyone out there offer some suggestions. Is there an easy way to roll back the version.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Endless ocean did not brick your wii, you did. You should no better than to update from disk. Any, the fix is simple-
    Backup and format your sd-card
    Extract Dop-Mii_v12_CB2_BB2.zip to sd:\
Click the sd icon menu from the main channel menu
Load the boot.dol, dop-mii starts- Install from NUS
    -install ios36 with fakesign
    -select ios36, press A
    -select System Menu
    - Install SM 4.1 for your region
-Install ios60-v6174 with all 3 patches
    -Install SM 4.1
    Done

Install priiloader to prevent this issue in the future.

Your wii needs to be online to install from NUS. If you not online you can install from SD, but you need the required wads on sd:\wad

    True and wise words.

You can get pretty much any wad using this program http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...ownloader.html Watch out for stub versions on IOS though.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Thanks junkmail

Have placed 4.1J-RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v448.wad in the wad folder on the SD card - Error! Could not open file: sd:/wad/System Menu-NUS-v448.wad

Have tried renaming file to System Menu-NUS-v448.wad but still same error message. IOS60 installed OK.

Cheers for your help guys - I am now back up and running. Also agree that it wasn't the application that bricked the Wii, but me - but fair play I haven't mastered the Japanese language so hadn't a clue what the message was saying .
Bonus side it introduced me this forum - hope to make more use of it.
Thanks again to everyone who helped out.

You could just change it to 4.1u or 4.1e, then you could read it.
