Need Help With Wii and my title.

I'm not sure if this is a semi-bricked wii but, I need help with my wii since I can't get to the Wii Settings and I only get a black screen with the Wii music still playing in the background. The Homebrew channel is also having problems at times when I load it and I get a black screen from it. Sometimes the Homebrew Channel works and sometimes it don't.

If I remember correctly, I have a 3.2U Wii and I followed the tutorial on how to make Guitar Hero 5/Rockband Beatles to work prior to this problem occurring. I did not check before (after I have completed the tutorial) on whether I could enter the Wii Menu screen so I'm not sure if that is the cause of the problem.

Anyways, I would like to ask if there is a way to fix my Wii and if it is indeed Semi-bricked.
It's been a long time since I played my Wii and I just recently got a backup copy of Harvest Moon: Animal Parade and Sakura Wars: So Long My Love from a friend of mine and I want to play it.

The older titles seem to work but I just can't get the newer ones to play (the disk doesn't load on the Disc Channel).

Help would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you.

Your cIOSCORP is outdated, this is why the newer games will not play. You probably also have a partially corrupted cios30 installed, and maybe others.

    I would suggest installing CB2_BB2_Cios38-r17-installer.zip

Then update all your ios with Dop-Mii_v12_CB2_BB2.zip
    Use ios249

Install the newest version of the following
    Install ios36, 38, 53, 55, 60 with all patches

    Install ios 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 28, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, 56, 57, 61 without patches

    Install System Menu 4.1u

Now, none of your games will work from the disk channel
You will need to load your games using a loader, from disk or usb. Try neogamma or usbloader gx, or other. You may like it. If you really miss loading from the disk channel, you can install DARKCORP_v1.0_Full.zip (after you install priiloader and read the readmii)

Update your HBC if it is upside down or old BB2_hackmii-1.6.zip banner bomb from sd icon
Be sure to also install bootmii as boot2, or if you can install as ios. Be sure to make a backup

    Now install Priiloader_v0_4.zip
    Extract 4.1u-hacks.zip to sd:\
Hold reset and boot into priiloader
Click hacks and enable block disk and block online updates.

    I'm confused.
Can't I just update to a newer firmware using a disk or would that method not work? If that method would work, what should I update into: 4.1 or 4.2? Another question with regards to this method is: what are the games with the said firmware update?

I ask this since having not to use the disc channel may confuse the other people who would be using the wii (like my siblings, cousins, etc,...) and how do I install them without the homebrew channel (like I've said, the homebrew channel also tends to hang with a black screen).

Sorry, I'm just pretty confused with the instructions ( a lot of numbers and things I don't understand, XD).

Thanks and I hope someone will help guide me into fixing our wii.

    Sincerely,
    Sakura Martinez

    EDIT:

These were the instructions I used (and followed accordingly) back when I tried to make the Guitar Hero 5 to work. Note that it does work now, the problem is the inability to enter the Wii Settings and the black screen errors on both the Wii Settings and the Homebrew Channel.

Guitar Hero 5 - Run from Disk Guide:

    1. Install this wad.

    IOS56-64-v5146.wad

    2. Download and run multicios, and install IOS 37 as IOS 232.
    MulticIOS Download Here

    3. Download and run SoftChip, make sure to use IOS 232 and make sure the 002 Fix is enabled.
    SoftChip Download Here

    4. Disk in, turn up, rock out!
Also, is it possible to update the Wii to a higher firmware version to fix this error or will it just cause more problems (I've asked this on my second post) and if so, (as mentioned in my second post) what game could I use to update the firmware to a firmware that is compatible with using the Homebrew Channel? I need help with this as soon as possible.

    Thank you once again.

You can update to 4.1 with New Super Mario Bros

    That would fix everything, right?
Would I still be able to use the Homebrew Channel afterwards?

You would have to re-softmode the wii after the update.

    Oh, thanks.
So, I should go for 4.1 instead of 4.2?

I would do 4.1, but other would do 4.2. So take your pick, 4.2 removes boot2 bootmi, but it can be reinstalled. 4.2 has no advantages over 4.1.

    Okay, thanks.
I'm going to search for a disc for that game and update. Hopefully that will fix my wii.
I'll post again if I have any more questions.
