Have you tried and failed to boot recovery disks?

@ mauifrog : yeah recovery disks doesnt work on version 3.3 (nintendo has patched trucha something dats y)

@ RedArrow : I got a working ntsc - U american wii with version 3.3U of a friend and tried to run smash stack(copied its data on the root of the sd card and then put a hackmii installer ie boot.elf) , I ran an ntsc backup of ssbb through neogamma r3 launcher (game executed fine) but when i tried to exectue this hack I got a freeze ? So could ne1/you clarify whats the reason ? is it again because of version 3.3 ??

    Thanks
    Rahul

I understand the details of 3.3 and the trucha bug. I asked if you tried, did you actually put a fakesigned disk into the wii and try to boot it?

For smash stack to work, you need to delete all the default stages first. Then you can run the smash stack. Unfortunately, ssbb-ntsc will not autoboot.

    Hii,

yeah I tried putting a fakesigned disk into the wii on 3.3U while in recovery and it did not execute however I can confirm if you are on 3.4U it would execute.
Rest you told me to delete the all the desfault stages and by the time I upgraded my friends american wii to 4.1U ,It worked thanks for the resolution.

Now the big question is my korean wii which is 3.3U(shows 3.3U when I use savemii) which gives a black screen after pressing A , Would smash stack work on it since I wont be able to delete custom stages in it cause I cant enter the menu

    Thanks
    Rahul

Try to autoboot Nintendo's Offical Wii BackUp Disk v1.31.rar
It should not require the fakesign to run. Let me know if it boots. If it prompts to update, accepts it. But don't do anything else with the disk.

Also get a zelda ntsc-u and try to autoboot it. Check for the zelda hack. If the above disk boots, you may be able to use it to install the zelda hack.

Also, as far as the trucha bug, all post 3.2 system menus lack it. But it can be patched back into the system. So any unmodified wii, 3.3 and greater will not run fakesigned disks without a patched system ios. The big question was weather yours was patched, and it is not.

If the above disk does not boot for you, and you do not have the zelda hack installed. Try post #1 from-
    http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...-detected.html
    Except replace cios70-v6174 with cIOS30-v6174-v3.6.wad.zip

If the wad installs, try to boot New HBC AB.rar, then run ARCmod06.zip

    Hi ,

Thanks for the above methods .

Its gona take me a while to try out the 2 mrthods which you have just mentioned and i would update this thread accrodingly.

Now the only question which is coming to my mind is weather I would be able to get the smash stack going or not (because I cant delete existing default stages).

PS : my previous experience says that nintendo official recover disk wont work with 3.3U and it worked with 3.4U
    2) for sure I dont have the zelda hack installed because it used banner bomb to execute homebrew.

    Thanks
    Rahul
PS : I hope has just died , I had 100% hope from the smash stack method

Sorrno one has every run ssbb-ntsc from the recovery menu without a patched system menu. If you could boot the game you could delete the stages from the stage builder. The only way I know to boot the game is with a "force recovery mode" system menu hack, using preloader.

Did you region change this wii yourself? Do you know the details or have a link? And do try the Nintendo Disk, it should work on all pre 4.x wii's.

I've already pm'ed this to Rahul, but I think maybe it's possible to run the SDDm & install Indiana Pwns to run AnyRegionChanger & revert his settings.

    Hi,

Well I have attained plenty of knowledge and I am gona implement everything this weekend though I hopes have just died.

I havent changed this wii's region but I am sure its history :

it must have been 3.3k korean wii which is first updated with mario kart ntscU game and then later using any region changer (some well known guide) installed 3.2U off the sd card(offline method) later some fool updated to 3.3U with a PAL game i think(its a guess) because when I recieved this wii I couldnt able to access wii settings and when I ran any region changer It showed me an error stating region mismatch , its language was set to europe which I changed to English and some numberic number from 153 -> 49 (49 i selected for usa) ..saved the settings ,,,restarted and then pressed A at warning screen and then a clack screen ,, so its not a banner brick ,, its a region mismatch issue.

    Thanks
    Rahul
