That is softmii, and is not for your shop channel. But if it went south during install, a black screen is not out of the question. Sorry for you luck.

Using an infectus tutorial. - GBAtemp.net.

i do have a nand and key file from when i started, but it wasnt able to do a boot2 if im not mistaking it
    was the other way.

also was wondering if there could be another way to flash the chip instead of buying the infectus chip, cause i already have like almost $100 sunk in it the infectus chip is like $55. could something like jtaging an xbox maybe work to flash it with like nandpro or something

any help or info is appreciated, thanks
Either you build your own nand programmer or buy an infectus. At least it is cheaper than buying a new wii... Building a nand programmer yourself is not an easy thing and will probably cost you more than just buying the infectus chip. Bit of a shame you bought a sunkey as if you are not able to get into rescue menu a chip will not help you too...
    Better investment was the infectus

If you can solder you can buy an infectus and see this one as a learning curve. I can help you through the process if necessary. Buying a new wii is a lot more expensive and once you leave bootmii in this wii it is virtually unbrickable. A new wii can be bricked (low level brick) very easy and is much harder to resolve (only with nand backup and infectus).

yeah i thought the same thing, it would be a good learning experience, my soldering skills are pretty good so thats no problem. the only thing im worried about its that when i did the nand backup i could not do as a boot2 backup, so thats my only worry isnot having a good backup.

if you verified the nand backup then you should be OK. At least you have the keys of your wii so you can always use betwiin to convert another nand to your wii...
