The exact message that comes up is "an Error has occured. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting." Also, my wadmanager isn't giving me ios249 as an option for some reason..
Edit: Dop-Ios is letting me select 249, but gives me an error when I try to use it. Hmm...
Edit2: Question: will this disc not run with ANY cios installed, or is it just cioscorp?

here's the report. I did this right after doing a cios uninstall as I tried to restore ios249 to reinstall 16, and it did nothing.

Prepare yourself. This is going to be a long one.

I had a wii that had a backup loader, HBC and preloader (is this the same as priiloader?) with a 4.1U. I wanted to be able to play rockband 2 so I tried DogEggs guide to hacking the menu. I needed to play RB2 from the disc loader for the instruments to work so his guide was my best bet. So I skipped to the part with installing the 4 wads he listed via wad manager. After that, I restarted my wii and got bricked. I had the wii system files corrupted screen, but it was blurred and unclear. I figured it was a banner brick and the bad wads would be the four i just installed since everything was working fine prior to the wad install. So I held reset and went to preloader. I went to HBC and uninstalled these wads": IOS38-64-v3867
    IOS50-64-v4889
    IOS53-64-v5406
    IOS55-64-v5406
I encountered an error with IOS50-64-v4889 uninstall but the others uninstalled fine. I was told by Nightstah that that wasn't such a good idea after I did it. I just though it was the logical thing to do. Now, I have the system menu version 4.1U on the bottom left of a black screen. I tried to load preloader again and go to HBC but now it says that HBC isn't installed. So now I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Any ideas? I was thinking I should install HBC again and try wad manager to install the second one again though I'm not really sure. I don't have NAND backup by the way. I have a GC controller that doesn't work on preloader but my wiimote can navigate it. That's pretty much all I know about my wii. Help please?

That disk should boot, perhaps it is a bad burn, or the download is corrupt. It should also load from usb, you could try that. Your ios16 is installed fine.

You could install ios30-v1040 and sm 3.2, then try the format again- see if that makes any difference.
