Ok, so I just used WiiSCU to update the shop channel (just chose IOS 61 and shop channel, nothing else) on my 4.2 menu (not installed via Nintendo), and now whenever I go into the wii setting under 'menu' I get a black screen with the menu music still playing in the background. No error message, just a black screen - and neither the wiimote nor the reset button will get out of it; I need to hold in the console's power button.
Any idea what went wrong, or how to fix it?
Not sure of the cause, but I think you should be able to access your settings by holding + and - at the health screen, then push A a few times. I had this trouble once and it resolved itself. See how that goes for you.

Try to run CB2_BB2_Dop-Ios_Mod-v11.5.zip with ios249
Reinstall ios70 with patches
Reinstall ios61 without patches
Reinstall system menu 4.2
Reinstall shop Channel
That did it, without reinstalling the system menu.
It then gave the same problem to the shop channel, but I just reinstalled it through that mod and it's all good! Thanks!
