    I thought the Thread creator just wanted to swap a dead motherboard with a working one, since then it seems to have gone off in different tangent. Replacing components on a complex PCB like the Wii one would be difficult indeed.
    Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Seems like replacing the motherboard of WII is not gonna be a solution as it involves some really complex task as well as risky one...

    You should go for a USA or European version board. So you have no problems with the new common key.
    Any working board will work with any drive. Swapped out many boards never had a problem with the drive
    I even have some spare boards at home if you are interested

    i heard the wii board comes with cpu and gpu attached during its purchase!!!
    so, if u hab the spare board, can u provide it to me?? what shoud i do??
