using a Dance mat is much easier than use GCcontrol D-pads.

Maybe I shouldn't have asked quite so many questions in one go.

So you installed v289 on your Wii.

IOS35 and IOS36 are not proper System IOS so can be disregarded.

Did you install IOS30 v1040 at any time?

Savemiifrii may work, give it a try.

If your Wii does not start with a double DVD slot flash (i.e. bootmii/boot2 installed)

    Two basic options.

    1) Infectus, a difficult soldering operation in the hope that the Wii has a vunerable boot2, a flash to the NAND and a potential way to install IOS30

    2) Return to Nintendo and pay for a repair.

I half expected savemiifrii to work as IOS50 is present, it must require the presence of the correct menu too.

does anyone offer an infectus service?

I have tried savemiifrii about 20 times. I will keep trying till I find something else though.
