    Thanks for your advise...Will give it a try...

    Just to check...the updates from the games must be the same reg as my wii?

    I don't think the cioscorp was installed becoz when I tried the unbrick disc (v2, v3, v4), all don't works. It spin for a while and then it stop.
    i purchased my wii set in china, it was softmod. I think the seller didn't install bootmii.
    Agree with you, I should have installed bootmii when I got my set, it will make my life easier...

    too bad without cioscorp dvd-/+r won't work so thats why the unbrick discs fail
    getting a modchip would let you run them, if you get it set up for autobooting (maybe a option if nsmb doesn't work)
    and yeah you should use the same region update (if you want it region changed you can do that later with alot less risk if you get unbricked, since then you could install preloader nor bootmii if possible, then you atleast have some brick protection)
