    Semibricked Wii??

I think my Wii is semi-bricked, even though I can't really understand why! USB-Loader won't load, HBC won't load (both gives me a black screen) and I also get a black screen when trying to access the system-settings menu. When trying to access savedata, it hangs when selecting the Wii-memory! I have bootmii as boot2 and Preloader installed as well, what should I do? Is there anything I can do rather than restoring my backup (as that would totally fark up most of my saves..)? Original discs work though, and the system-menu loads fine. Don't think the Wii has been updated either, as I have all my games through USB-loader, and I've turned off disc-updating with Preloader.

I haven't really touched the Wii mod-wise in ages, the only thing done recently is reinstalling the cMIOS, as the Wii suddenly refused to play GC-backups. That didn't help, though. That may be related? Any help is appreciated..

Are you able to run the bannerbomb hack? Open HBC through Preloader or Bootmii? If so could you run signcheck (google it) and post the list it creates in signcheck.csv on your card.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

You can backup your saves with the savegame manager, before things move south.

What was that last thing you did? Any new games? Run any new HB apps? Install anything?

I actually found the fault later that night, after weeks of searching and wondering. The disc-drive in the Wii is obviously sick of my DVD-Rs, as it hanged itself when trying to do anything while I had a backed up GC-game in the drive. When I ejected it, everything went smoothly. Tested one of my Wii-games from disc just to check it, and the original disc played just fine. So I'm clueless as what to do, as the recommended brand of DVD-Rs isn't sold around here. So till now I've used Verbatim, which is quite expensive. Guess I just have to try some other brand..
