Black screen. Installed wad "system menu-v289.wad"

I have modded my wii perfectly. No problems.
My aunt asked me to help her with her wii.

I installed homebrew channel and bootmii as IOS.
    I installed preloader.
    I updated to 4.1u.
Then I realized that I forgot to install Ios60-patched.wad
    I installed it.
    System menu wouldn't boot.
So under settings in preloader I changed the boot ios to 249.
    System menu worked.
    I went into homebrew channel.
Someone told me that I should just re-install the system menu files.
So I installed that wad: "system menu-v289.wad"

Now I get a black screen on boot.

Anyway at ALL to fix this?

    Your screwed.
1st- You installed 3.2u without installing ios30 prior. Ios30 is the system ios which would have been stubed with an update and non-functional
2nd- Even with ios30 installed, it is very possible the the newer wii would not function on system menu 3.2. Ios 30 and system menu 3.2 do not support the hardware of newer wii's.

    You have two choices
1- If you made a nand backup, you could flash it back using an Infectus nand programmer. This is a big job and requires skills with a soldering iron
    2- Send it to Nintendo.

You could always through it through a wall, if that sort of thing makes you feel better.

    Thank you for the reply.
I sent it in to Nintendo.
Do you think they'll just ship me a new one with the system updates installed?
Is it possible they will keep it?
