I suspect your wii is ok, but who knows.
What preloader/priiloader version do you have installed?
What preloader/priiloader system hacks do you have enabled?
What is preloader/priiloader set to boot to?
What is preloader/priiloader set to return to?
Have you installed a dol/elf into preloader/priiloader? If so, what?
What system menu are you running?
What system menu version is displayed in preloader/priiloader
What ios is displayed in preloader/priiloader?
In preloader/priilaoder settings, what ios is used, system ios, or other?
Have you had this trouble with usb loading, disk loading, or both?
    What about originals?
Can you reproduce this error consistently, or is it completely random, regardless of what you do?

While your at it, you may as well run dop-ios-mod v11.5, with ios249, scan your wii and post the cvs report here.

Off to bed now, talk later.

What preloader/priiloader version do you have installed?

    priiloader v0.3 (r45)

What preloader/priiloader system hacks do you have enabled?
    Block disc updates
    Block online updates
remove no copy save file protection
recovery mode press Dpad-R on GC pad 4p
    region free everything
    disable haxx, dvd, rzdx deletion

What is preloader/priiloader set to boot to?

umm if you mean under settings in priiloader..
    Auto-boot: disabled
    Return to: system menu
    shutdown to: off
    stop disc: off
    light slot on error: off
    ignore standby setting: off
    use system menu IOS: off

What is preloader/priiloader set to return to?
I think I answered that for you above?
    return to: system menu

Have you installed a dol/elf into preloader/priiloader? If so, what?
don't think so I didn't install anything extra what so ever only just folllowed the guide to soft modding 4.2 and installing the usb loader.

What system menu are you running?
I'm not sure i think you mean the Wii main menu correct? if so then the default one with the wii. haven't modded or touched it.

What system menu version is displayed in preloader/priiloader
    system menu v481

What ios is displayed in preloader/priiloader?
    IOS v70

In preloader/priilaoder settings, what ios is used, system ios, or other?
I think i answered this one above again? I'm sorry if I haven't is that hat you wanted?
    Use system IOS: ON

Have you had this trouble with usb loading, disk loading, or both?
    What about originals?
No usb loading errors it runs fine I have the WD essentials 1TB drive if that helps you.
No I don't use dvd-r's just the usb drive
    originals work just fine.

Can you reproduce this error consistently, or is it completely random, regardless of what you do?
both I can reproduce it when I turn my console off and back on I only get a black screen nothing else I have to fully power it off then on again for it to work and also unplug my USB drive helped I think then plugging it back in after it is turned on.

otherwise it will just freeze randomly examples are....
    1) on the wii main menu it just freezes randomly
    2) same with the usb loader menu when selecting a backup game or even when u download new cover art etc.. just very rarely but sometimes often freezes.
    3) midgame weather I am at a save point or a loading screen etc... examples....
3-a) resident evil chronicles when I fought some zombies music would stop and game would keep playing with me unable to do anything and them attacking then after I died the whole thing would freeze.
3-b) Harvest moon animal paradise it freezes alot! load screens or save screens. randomly where but often.
those are about it for now.

While your at it, you may as well run dop-ios-mod v11.5, with ios249, scan your wii and post the cvs report here.
not sure how to do this =/

sorry still a noob on all this stuff but loving it. You would think being 28 years old and a college degree in computer science I would know some of this stuff. It is like a foreign language but I love it none the less love learning.
Thank you for helping again I hope this gives you a little more feed back into my issue. you dont know how much any little help means ^_^

Why did you set Auto Boot as disabled, set it as "System Menu"

We all have a moment where a game starts to freeze/crash nothing usual.. It can be the result of a bad iso dump

So now the wii is booting as it should, are you having any other freezes in the system menu?

The game freezing and system freezing are not likely related.

Are those two games freezing predicably? What about your other games? I would try to get a fresh iso of the problem titles. Preferable an unscrubed iso in your region if it is giving you trouble.

it is working just fine now... but that is sooo weird why would the one option cause so much trouble? thank you everyone for your help. I guess its a mystery..... even the games i had freeze problems with are working again. I know they dont have anything to do with each other but still weird how it works now wthout freezing...

how do u load the priiloader if its not set to autoload at startup?
thats all I have to ask for now ^_^

Hold the reset button and power on your wii and it will start.
