My Wii Black screen of Death

I have D2C Wii with wiikey2 installed via wiiclip. I have hbc installed. I updated using Waninkoko 4.0 Updater yesterday. I installed cIOS rev 8 first. That was successful. Then ran the updater. Lastly I ran IOS60 patcher. Everything completed with no errors and then I hit a button to reboot and bam...black screen of death. I had bootmii installed as boot 2. It wouldn't load every time. When it did if I used the files on my sd card I could only launch the hbc(which if I would have just read up on it I could have possibly fixed the damn thing there). I found a DL for other bootmii files and those would boot straight to the wii system without running bootmii. The problem was every time I exited a program, game, hbc, other channels, it would give me the black screen. I decide (probably a bad move) to update through Nintendo to 4.2, hoping it would cure my consoles problems. During the update my internet connection was lost and now I can no longer get to bootmii. I had experienced the black screen freezing up on me a few times prior to messing with IOS60 so I am hoping its the bluetooth module and can be repaired. Any help anyone is willing to offer let me know. If you have an idea I will give it a shot.

Also I backed up my NAND earlier in the day when it was at least semifunctional. I don't know if there is anyway I can reapply it in its current conditon. Any help would be great.

Your first trouble sound like they would have been fixable. A failed system menu update due to power loss can be very bad. 4.2 kills bootmii, so no surprise it does not work. Sorry to say, but I feel this will be a full brick, only fixable by a nand flash with an infectus chip.

Man that sucks, you had a cboot2 which booted straight to system menu. Had many of those before and those are easy fixes. You could have fixed that with HBC...
Anyway, if you can solder and order an infectus you are not there yet.
As 4.2 installed boot2v4 and youre backup has an older version of boot2 so that won't work. You need to get bootmii blocks or insert only the bootmii blocks in your nand.
Most of the times blocks 3 and 4.
Let me know if you need any help on the infectus...

I don't know if it actually installed 4.2. Like I stated, I lost internet signal...not power during the download. I wish I would have posted something and waited vs getting impatient and just hoping I found the right info. If anyone has a good site to get an affordable infectus chip I would appreciate it. Also do they make a wii-clip for infectus? Which chip by infectus do I need?

Is savemiifrii an option I should even bother attempting? I need to go out and snag a gamecube controller. If there even a chance it could work I will give it a try.

it is worth trying savemiifii, but I doubt anything will come of it.

You need the infectus2 mod chip (not the developers version)
And there are no clips for it available you need to solder it to the nand.
