deleting ios249 is unlikely to have bricked your wii.

249 is the custom IOS used to run your backups, and is not used by the system menu.

Damn, I guess I got's to return it then. Well, was my own fault lol.
Thank you for your help! 1 final question:
I have a drivekey, will it work on the newest wii version(4.2?). If so, does it work online with backup games?

    Thanks everyone yet again!

    EDIT: didn't reead davepm's post.
But I am quite sure that was the only IOS I have deleted. Should I try installing the drivekey before I send it to Nintendo?

    Thank you!

You have nothing to lose by installing the drivekey and trying savemiifrii again. Just realize that opening the wii to install the chip will invalidate your warranty, and if N see evidence of it, they may charge you for the repair.

The ironic thing is that my warranty expired a couple of days before the bricking happened..

The costs for repair won't increase by trying drivekey+savemiifrii again, right?

After this question, feel free to close this thread, I've asked more then enough!

Thanks again everyone for your help!

Its difficult to predict what they might charge, it will depend how deep they look into what you have done, you might want to try saying that the recent update you did to 4.2 seems to have broken your wii

I will, thanks alot for all your help!

EDIT: Sorry people, after some research I think I might have a broken bluetooth module( not quite sure though).
The thing is: I can put on my wii by using the wiimote, afterwards the wiimote doesn't connect.
Is this a broken bluetooth module or is it a brick?

EDIT2: After checking the forums even more, I saw a couple of tealc's comments in another post:

Anyway does the Wiimote allow you to switch from Off to On?--> YES

Does the DVD slot flash twice when you power on? --> It flashes once.

Does this mean I have a broken bluetooth module?

IOS249 is where the custom IOS installs. Removing would not cause you to brick. The system menu uses IOS 30 (system menu 3.2), 50 (3.4), 60 (4.0/4.1), or 70 (4.2).

But the strange thing is, I'm quite sure i never removed a IOS with x0(10,20 etcetera). I am also quite sure removing the IOS was the cause of my brick.

Last but not least, I AM sure my wii is a brick..And I also guess it's a low-level brick since I can turn it on with my wiimote, I don't get an opera message and the screen stays black..

Good thing though: I found a store that can replace my entire motherboard for only 75 euros!
