If the wii is online, you could use Rock Band 2 and install DLC to fill your nand close to full. Then use the rabbids channel install to goto data management. Any idea why these games are crashing? How are you burning them and what media?

The media is fine. I tested three of them on another Wii to be sure. I burn at 16x but 2x makes no difference because they already work with DVD-R. I also made 5 Wii Fit discs and all produce the black screen, so I figure WF/WFP both require IOS53 that I don't have. I have no online connection. I bought this from a liquidation palette. It's funny that this is the easiest bricked Wii that I'll be able to save because the 10 others that I have all have total black screens at boot. That means they can't use SaveMii, right? WiiFrii won't do anything because this is 4.2u, right?

This Wii is toast. I finally figured out why it keeps freezing. Not only is it bricked, but it has that disc freezing bug that gets progressively worse till it happens a few seconds after you start up the game. If I remember, the serial number prevented writing to the boot sector, so I can't even fix this with the Infectus Nand dump. I wonder if anything will come along in the future to save this Wii. I think I should sell it for now and enjoy all the burned games I created the last few days. I can probably last till the end of the year with these.

So I threw in the towel on that Wii and decided to try my hands at another bricked Wii. I plugged in the drive, it started to spin, and then compltely shutdown. I took off the Wasabi DX chip and still am receiving no power from the drive. I don't think there was any static shock, but the motherboard of the drive was touching the metal. I was wearing socks on the carpet. It looks like I lost a drive and a Wii for now. I can't believe this is happening. I have to break apart another good Wii to mess with this now. i just lost a drive on Friday that randomly lost all power.
