When you load your backups, how are you loading them? What loader do you use?

As for your wiiware/vc titles, try to delete them with anytitle deleter mod. Don't delete any ios. Then reinstall them with wadmanager.

Use dop-ios-mod and update your ios files. Update all the installed ios files., except ios60. Don't patch the ios, except ios36- patch ios36.

I use USB Loader DX, and Configurable USB Loader... neither of them work now.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling the virtual console titles and nothing.

I'm assuming it has something to do with the Drive REFUSING to take in discs. It turns on briefly at start up, and the motor runs for a second. I had to turn it on and off 5 times just to get a disc in, and even when it was in, it wouldn't be read... and now I can't get it out. I don't know why it not working would affect the Virtual Console, but maybe it does.

It's really weird... all of the backups load but hang on a black screen and then I'm told to eject a disc. The Virtual Console games load for 10 sec, and then cut to black (the newer ones cut to an eject screen, which is weird for a virtual console title). So, I'm going to get my friend to open up the Wii and see if there's anything blatantly wrong with the disc drive, because as far as I can tell (especially after restoring the NAND, twice, and this error occuring still) this problem is hardware based.

I bad dvd-drive can cause inconvenient errors. I would suggest fixing/replacing the dvd-drive, it is likely to resolve most of your issues. Unfortunatly, the wii does not work well without a dvd-drive, even when it is not used.

Very true. I tried leaving the dvd drive in my wii disconnected after a fall rendered it inoperable (R.I.P.) but after that, almost nothing besides the system menu itself worked anymore.

Turning wii on with the remote has nothing to do with the dvd rive. That depends on the bluetooth module and a synced remote. Bluetooth works just fine without the dvd drive. Can you not turn your wii on with the remote? Are you sure it's synced to your wii?
