Format your sd card. Copy your bootmii folder to sd:\
    Create folder sd:\wad
    Download 3.1u_format.zip
Extract files, one at a time
    format.elf to sd:\
wads to sd:\wad, one at a time, in this order
    RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v257.wad
    IOS17-64-v512.wad
    IOS30-64-v1040.wad
    IOS31-64-v1040.wad
    IOS36-64-v1042.wad
    RVL-Eulav_US-v2.wad
    RVL-Rgnsel_US-v2.wad

Boot into bootmii, load the format.elf from the sd menu. If the app crashes, remove the wad it crashes on from the card and repeat.

If the process is sussessful, update from any officail in region disk to get your other ios and channels, or bannerbomb dop-ios-mod and install by hand what you want.

Then follow the 3.1-4.1 guide linked below.

Just to clarify, when you say repeat, do you want me to reload format.elf and start over from RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v257.wad or just try the wad it failed on again and resume from there?

Also, WinRar claims RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v257.wad is corrupt when I try to extract it.

Try to extract it with 7-zip, otherwise I will have to reup it and repack it. If one of the wads will not install, delete it from the sd-card and run the formater again.

7-zip says that wad is broken when trying to extract it. I know I'm being a pain, but after deleting a wad from the SD card, should I extract it from the zip again and put it back on the SD? Or just completely skip that WAD?

Hi mauifrog - I can't seem to find the RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v257 wad anywhere. If you have it still, please reup it. thanks!

Use this one. Reuped and tested, should be good.

You're the man, mauifrog. I've done what you said and my screen says:
    Installing /wad/RVL-WI~1.WAD
    fsize: 21975424

Is there usually more feedback than that? I can't tell if its stuck or actually loading. Its been about a half hour since I started.

    Thanks again!

I tried what was suggested - loading the formatter w/ the wad files. I couldn't tell if anything was really happening though. It never says "in progress' or "completed." It just sits on whatever Wad is left on the card. When I check bootmii info, the NAND FS usage is 4.5% suggesting the format took place. The System Menu is @ 3.1U boot1b boot2v2 suggesting that the SM installed correctly. When I turn the Wii on all I get is a black screen. Is there any thing else I should try?

Delete the elua and region select wads from sd:\wad, then run the formater again.
