    Fully Bricked Wii?

recently bought a faulty wii off ebay, the fault was no av output. the wii remotes wont sinc with the wii. I've changed the bluetooth module and checked the pins on the power connector on the dvd drive, and still nothing.

then went on to check all the fuses on the motherboard and all where ok ive even disassembled the wii and rebuilt it and still no output.

the green light is on and the drive spins up when a disc is inserted and it ejects ok so seems like the drive is fine. also the blue light flashes once when the disc is inserted.

ive even checked the test points on the bottom of the motherboard and checked if they are the correct voltages which they are. ive no idea whats been installed on the wii or what system menu is on it.

is it a total brick? any ideas would be a great help

We have a dedicated Bricked Issues forum so I've moved your thread.

Do you have any idea how old this Wii is? If it's sufficiently old there a chance you could use an infectus modchip to flash boot2 hack to the NAND.

There are a few things to try right now.

Hold reset as you power up to check for Preloader.

Use a GC controller to bring up recovery menu, port 4, hold down Left, Right, Up and Down as you start the Wii. The System Menu text would appear if this works.

Remove the disc and check for dual DVD slot flashes.

the nand is the heart of the wii ( usually a samsung chip on the underneath of the motherboard ) and the infectus is a chip programmer that you can buy to reprogram the nand chip so the wii will boot. its a bit akward to do but now got a hot air station to solder the wires onto the nand. will keep u posted

What is the date code on the hollywood chip? It is on the last line and the 4 first digits. Might save you a hard job. Especially soldering with hot air to the nand.
Just use a fine tip soldering iron. Works much better
