    Exclamation black bricked wii...IS NOT MINE

    Hi friends:
    I had a problem on hands...First let me tell you that Im new in this stuff.

    I have a new wii, bought on december, I was doing the crack steps to read burned discs...Intially I tried to install hbc and BootMii, but I can't, finally a friend give me a Crack with that one I can install hbc and BootMii. To Installed this I made this:

    -Install hbc and BootMii as IOS
    -Made a NAND Backup
    -Uninstall iso249.wad
    -Open IOS installer and install by network

    Those were the steps to follow that appear in README file. After that I played Beatles RockBand without problems.

    When I began the installation of the crack to read burned disc I downgrade to 3.2 with Custom IOS Downgrader, the process finished and ask me to do another process or come out from the application, I decide to quit and appears a text "Restarting" I let it work, but after a lot of time I turned off and go to do my stuff to continue later. When I turned on, surprise, black brick, no video or sound, no sign appears, I tried to start BootMii with the NAND backup but doesn't work, I can't launch hbc or another application and wii has no SoftMod or Mod Chip at all. Someone told me that with some games update, but I just prove with Wii Sports (one of his list) and it doesn't work.

    Please help me, as I told you, the console is not mine. I thank you any info that you can give to solve this mess.

    Take care and good luck

    Downgrading is outdated, and has been removed from any updated guide you could possibly find. This is because downgrading new wii's bricks them, SM 3.2 does not support the hardware on new wii's.

    Your only hope is to flash your nand backup back using an infectus nand programmer.

    Downgrading = FAIL

    It is doable to connect the infectus if you can solder.
    However doing it for the first is a bit tricky, especialy doing a full restore with the infectus. Takes a lot of time.
    But you did a good job to at least make a nand backup!

    The newer wiis have a new mainboard layout and that one is not documented on how to connect the wires for the infectus. Had the pleasure to do one last week

    Send me a PM if you have any questions regarding unbricking with infectus mod chip or post a message in here http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...installed.html
